Beginning in the early 1970s, Peter Berlin created groundbreaking gay iconic imagery, first as a street persona in New York and San Francisco, then as a filmmaker and photographer. Since that time, Berlin's films, photography, and artwork have been exhibited and admired the world over.
Perhaps the most unusual and unique aspect of Berlin's work is its narcissism—he served as his own photographer and model, rarely allowing others into the frame. The results are stunning, sexy, and classic.

2007 gayvn award We're thrilled to announce that the DVD of Nights in Black Leather won the 2007 GAYVN award for Best Classic DVD Release. In addition, Peter Berlin was inducted into the GAYVN Hall of Fame. The awards ceremony was held on Saturday, February 24 at the Castro Theater in San Francisco. Comedian Kathy Griffin was the MC and the show was filmed for her Emmy-nominated reality show My Life on the D-List. Peter met Kathy backstage and had his picture taken with her. We hope to post the photo soon. The GAYVN awards are the Oscars of the gay adult film industry.
